necete vjerovati da sam jucer razmisljao o tome. gledao sam top gear i razmisljao "hej kako bi bilo da mini ima neki supercar u stilu audi a5...."

ne bi htio da se razvodni linija... drago mi je sto je bio MINI - Cooper/Cabrio i Clubman... ne zelim da bude kao BMW 1, 3, 5, 7, X3, X5, X6 pa X1 itd... tko ce od svega toga izac na kraj. Volia sam kad je bia jedan mini

Napravit će oni sve što će se prodavati Koliko sam shvatio, BMW je već napravio skoro sve reinkarnacije klasičnih Minija (za koji mjesec stiže SUV) i sada će eksperimentirati jer im treba mali gradski autić zbog profita, a samo ime BMW je možda previše prestižno za tako nešto. Isto kao kad je Mercedes napravio A-klasu...

The Speedster will be the sportiest, most thrilling model in the range – so only the highest-powered turbocharged engines from the current line-up will make the grade.

Customers will be able to choose between the 175bhp 1.6-litre Cooper S powerplant or, for even more pace, a John Cooper Works version offering 208bhp. The latter is set to cover 0-60mph in six seconds dead, on the way to a 150mph top speed. Both models will feature EfficientDynamics to boost economy and cut emissions.

As with the current hatch, Convertible and Clubman, power will be channelled to the front wheels via a six-speed manual box – delivering MINI’s trademark go-kart feel. And thanks to a lighter kerbweight, plus lowered suspension and a wider front and rear track, the Speedster promises to be the best-handling version of the MINI to date

Ovo naravno nije finalni izgled. To su nagadjanja Autoexpressa na temelju infomacija koje su uspjeli prikupiti tako da treba jos pricekati da izadju neke sluzbene fotke da bi vidjeli kako ce zaista izgledati Speedster.

Calling all coupé fans – MINI is making an Audi TT! Auto Express has learned that not only will parent company BMW reveal a MINI Speedster concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, but it will also launch a coupé version.

As we have previously reported, bosses have already confirmed plans for an exciting MINI two-seater with an electric folding roof. But it’s now come to light that they want to expand the range further with a fixed-roof model.

Rumoured to be called the Broadspeed Coupé, the newcomer would be the sportiest variant yet to come from the reborn brand. The car’s name is a reference to the racing team which built the famous 1966 Broadspeed GT Coupé, a very low-volume model that was based on the Austin Mini Cooper 1275 S.

The new coupé would rival the Audi TT, Mazda MX-5 RC and upcoming Honda CR-Z, and would be an exciting addition to the range. Thanks to a fixed roof, it will boast an even stiffer chassis than its open-top sister. That will mean it will deliver sharp handling – and it will have the power to match. The line-up will comprise Cooper, Cooper D and Cooper S variants, with a range-topping John Cooper Works version producing 218bhp.

That model should cover 0-60mph in less than six seconds. As with its Speedster sister car, the styling will be developed in-house, although there is a chance the bodyshell will be produced by a third party.

The Speedster will go on sale in 2010, while the coupé will follow in 2011. Prices are to be confirmed, but expect the line-up to start at around £18,000.

To je coupe verzija, nema straznjih siceva, dakle dvosjed....i ovo je naravno konceptna faza a ne finalni proizvod ali nesto na tu foru bi moglo bit.

Taking the shape of a sporty two-seater, the MINI Coupé Concept is a vision of things to come as it looks to compete with the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupé, Audi TT and the Peugeot RC Z

Under the air-scooped hood is a familiar engine – the 1.6-litre turbo from the MINI John Cooper Works. This kicks out 208bhp and 260Nm of torque, although the latter can climb as high as 280Nm for short bursts thanks to the overboost function. And due to its light weight, the Coupé should display even more devastating performance than the hatch or Convertible versions fitted with the same motor.
